Under Industry-To Focus on Emerging trends in Software Engineering and Technology, Suryadatta Group of Institute (SGI) and Global IT Commune(GIC) have jointly organized National IT Conference in which Software Tier one and Tier 2 software companies will participate to bring the latest in area of IT Industries to the audience. The main Aim of the this conference is to bridge the gap between academia and Industry and keep student managers and future IT Professionals to align with the fast changing technical landscape. The Conference was open to all and around 400 students, 50 IT Professionals, 50 Faculty and staff members attended the conference.
The conference inaugurated at the hands of Mr. Prasad Deore, Director Nasscom, Dr. Shankar Ramamoorthy, Director, Amdocs, Mr Rajneesh Malviya, AVP –Infosys and Centre Head ( Pune DC) and Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya, Founder President and Chairman, Suryadatta Education Foundation, Pune

Mr. Prasad Deore, Director Nasscom addressed the gathering He said today’s generation is having a lot of enthusiasm. There are big plans for the growth of business world. Today we have a large private sector and in that there are 30% women employees. Leading global source, IT has transformed this country. In NASSCOM we think about future technologies for the business. He talked about disruption and big data for the corporate world. He reminded of the words of Swami Vivekanand “Power is with you. You can do anything and everything.”
A speech by Mr. Rajneesh Malviya, AVP, Infosys talked about Business Assurance. He said with changing technology it is necessary maintain the quality and standard of the product. Testing is having significant role in this. He also stressed that there is not short cuts for young managers / for startup companies. All the softwares should be customer based and fully tested. During this one question raised by one of the student, how the startup company can manage to buy such a huge amount of testing softwares. On this question Mr. Rajneesh replied, all these softwares and available in cloud mode so one do not need to buy the same. And this is the good opportunity for the startup companies to maintain the quality of softwares.
He also added that this brought changes in different organizations from QC to QA to business assurance. You should have the domain and closure to technology for getting business assurance, key challenges in the changing business and technology environment. It is necessary to focus on return on investment, reduced time to market, enhanced performance, knowledge of new technology and regulatory compliance.
Mr. Shailendra Jha, vice-president, Cap Gemini had a talk on the subject “Testing Aj aur Kal”. He said in past there was no separation of testing and development work. Testing is difficult than writing a program. Every tester is having different views and skills. Also there is the difference between the types of technologies which will be used by the tester. Today, testing is charged on outcome and not on the efforts. In today’s IT world time constraints are important. Payment is done on the success of the testing. Speech was followed by question answer session.
Speech of Shailendra Jha was followed by speech of Mr. Sunil Avhad, Director,Igate. He spoke few words about testing as well as Internet. He explained the importance and need for testing & internet.
It was followed by a speech by Anant Varade, Sr. VP & Head, Enterprise Services, seed Infotech. He said Customer care is important. Businesses should add value for the customer satisfaction. He advised the students “Unless you think you are a leader, whatever you do in your life will not change the life cycle”. Your personal behavior depends upon your thoughts. Brain creates neurological patterns depending on your thoughts. He advised the students to take efforts to achieve the objectives. Speech was followed by question answer session.
After question answer session Mr. Sanjeeb Kumar Patjoshi, IPS, ADG, & Director Vamnicom, Pune addressed the gathering. He spoke few words on the subject “Social Engineering and Social Media and Internet proliferation a boon or bane”. He said there should be integration of people without the barriers of caste, religion, gender and race. He said clear your mind for achieving wisdom. He talked about criminal code procedure, special and local laws related to the family matters. Also talked about corruption, prisoner’s dilemma, adverse selection. He said corruption should be removed for the development.
During this summit Suryadatta has conferred IT Excellence Award 2016 to 19 renowned IT professionals from various IT sectors/ companies for their immense contribution in the field of IT. While conferring the awards Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya conveyed that this 5th IT Excellence Award Ceremony, up to now Suryadatta conferred 50 IT luminaries with Suryadatta IT Excellence Award.
Dr. Sharat Airani, Director, Intellinet spoke on “YUVA PRAVARTAN”. He spoke on new generation and the social media interaction of them by using what’s up, facebook, e-mail, WiFi, internet and mobile banking etc.
A Short skid on ‘IT ki Duniya“ was presented by Amdocs Team.
Ms. Poonam Jain, Manager, Tieto Software Technologies Limited on the subject “Test centre of Excellence (TCOE)”. She spoke about typical TOEC structure, test governance and need for governance. She said if there is no government, there will not be any control on natural disasters like flood. She talked about integrated testing maturity model and related processes. She explained test governance framework with its components like test policy, test strategy, testing life cycle and integration, test process optimization, test planning, design execution and test monitoring and control.
This followed by a patriotic speech by Hon’ble Shri Maninder Singh Bitta Sir, Chairman, All India Anti Terrorism Front, boosting the moral of audience to protect the cyber space of India from the cyber war started by terrorist and other notorious or criminal organizations. He spoke on terrorism and how to overcome it. He said along with the military people, civilians are equally responsible for overcoming terrorism. He continued with that Few decades before manual attacks were there by terrorists, after that human bombs came in to existence. People used to surrender themselves, but now a days the most dangerous cyber attacks are done. For all these with the help of technology only we can take precaution and find out the solution to avoid such problems. But unfortunately there is no technology in existence which will find out what is going on in someone’s mind & no one can’t say about that. He gave the message to young generation of country that everyone should proud to be Indian and must do something for the Mother India. Also said don’t come under anyone’s influence, use your own mind and be faithful with the country.
